Yvonne Magee-Scott Website Management Guide

This guide offers step-by-step instructions on how to manage the painting information that is displayed on your Wix website. You can use the dropdown selector above to jump to specific sections within the guide.

Viewing Paintings on Your Website

Your paintings will show up on the Paintings page.

When you click on a painting, a page will open that displays all the information about that particular painting, including a purchase request form and gallery showing information (if applicable).

If there is a gallery showing for the painting, you can click on the Gallery Showing tab to display the gallery name, address, and website.

Purchase Requests

If a customer wants to purchase a painting, they can fill out the purchase request form; their request will automatically include the name of the painting they are interested in. These requests will be sent to you as an email and will show up in your Wix Inbox.

Managing & Adding Paintings in Wix

To manage existing painting information and add new paintings, log in to the Wix dashboard and open to the CMS section.

Your painting information is stored in a “collection” named “Available Work”. Click on the Available Work tile to open the collection.

Once you have opened the collection, you will find all your paintings and their information listed.

  • The Default view will display all painting information in the form of a table, with each painting represented as a row, and each piece of information represented as a column.
  • You will want to make sure that the Status of the painting is set to “visible” if you want it to be displayed on your website. Otherwise, you can set this to “hidden” to hide the painting from customers.

To add a new painting, click the + Add Item button.

When the Item content panel opens, use the fields to add the following information:
